1982
Jenny Marsh and Sarah Eitelbach join the firm, bringing total attorneys to 4.
1984
Doug Lawrence, Liz Wallin and Bob Stokes join the firm, bringing total attorneys to 7.
1985
Wayne Perry leaves the firm to join McCaw Cellular Communications (which would eventually become AT&T Mobile).
1986
Firm name changes to Monroe, Stokes, Eitelbach & Lawrence.
1991
The firm celebrates its 10-year anniversary. 15 lawyers now work at the firm.
1992
Dick Monroe leaves the firm. Name changes to Stokes, Eitelbach & Lawrence
1997
Sarah Eitelbach and Bob Stokes leave the firm. Name changes to Stokes Lawrence.
2001
Firm celebrates 20 years in business and is now up to 29 lawyers.
2002
Kelly Twiss Noonan named firm’s first female Managing Shareholder.
2000s
Stokes Lawrence becomes a majority women-owned firm.
2007
John Moore, Morrie Shore, George Velikanje, Brendan Monahan and Sarah Wixson open the Yakima office of Stokes Lawrence Velikanje Moore & Shore.
2017
Four lawyers and two staff members join the firm, making the Real Estate practice one of the largest in the Puget Sound.
2019
Nine lawyers and six staff members from Mills Meyers Swartling join the firm, bringing the total number of lawyers to 58.
2020
For the second time in its history, Stokes Lawrence becomes a majority women-owned firm, and is certified as a Women's Business Enterprise.
2021
Firm celebrates its 40th anniversary and has more than 50 lawyers serving clients in industries ranging from agriculture to technology.
